About the Author
Ulrike Wietzorrek completed her architectural studies at Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich), ETSA Barcelona, and SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, before going on to practice at firms in Munich, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. She was a research associate for six years at the Lehrstuhl für Wohnungsbau und Wohnungswirtschaft (Chair for Housing and Housing Economy) at TU München as well as an instructor with various teaching assignments. Since 2006 she has been working in Munich as an independent architect.

I found this book to be incredibly thorough, but is deals only with commercial and industrial flat roofs. It only made passing references to residential timber-framed construction.This is an engineer's book, not anything a DIYer would ever need... unless you're DIYing the downtown civic center.
A good source of technical references. A bit pricey but, it is a valuable resource for sure. A typical format and standard you can expect from Detail Magazine's publications.
Solid reference for architects. Pretty much what you would expect from the Detail series.
