In this book, Ken Boa provides perspective for those who find themselves eagerly anticipating their role as well as for those who might have botched a line or two along the way. With real life examples, cultural insights, and other vignettes, Boa provides insightful commentary and practical advice, encouraging the reader to “number the days†as those who understand that “time moves on, but it’s never gone. It’s invested.†This book is one of those investments.Advice: Though you could read it in a day... don't. Take the author up on his suggestion to absorb the text and reflect upon the content, giving some time in between readings. (Or, as I'll do, plan on re-reading at a slower pace).
Have enjoyed the book.I've heard this man speak a few times.I get stuck in his thoughts and he's four sentences over.At least with his books I have the luxury of getting stuck and rereading what he wrote.I marvel at the material he writes.Well explained and well done.He comes at the subject matter with great color and well developed thoughts...all in the spiritual aspect of Jesus/God.Thank you,Mr. Boa for sharing with great intentions of the heart so all of us grow/heal spiritually in this spiritual/faith venture of Jesus Christ.And Jesus...thank you for Mr. Boa as one of your amazing vessels.....And Mr Boa..I don't want to be a ranger any more...I want to be a king that bears a new sword.All done in the Glory of God.Amen.m
My story is about as broken as anyone else's, and Ken's book helps me to see it from a bigger perspective that envisions a positive future, which has been very encouraging.
Very good book. This book really encapsulates being in a study with Ken himself. His wisdom and his ability to relate that wisdom to guys like me is astonishing. Everyone who has had something bad happen in there lives would see themselves in a completely different perspective. A great perspective!!
Kenneth Boa is a great writer. There were a lot of references to movies and books. They fit in well with topic but I like more straightforward writing. I learned a lot and will refer to this book at times in the future.
Dr. Boa defines the process and illustrates how individuals can transform their lives from brokenness to godliness. His clear and thorough text is a pleasure to read. The questions at the end of each chapter help to emphasize key points and challenge the reader to apply them in a personal context.
An excellent presentation on why it is important to maintain an eternal perspective. The narrative is biblically supported. Whether a new believer or older, it is a must.
