Astronomy is one of the most interesting science and I guess it is a good outdoor nature hobby. First of all, I will not need too much tools or equipment to start with. I can simply have the night sky, my eyes and a book like this. This book discussed the basics of astronomy. It gave a brief astronomy history, talked about the galaxy and the solar system, the sun, the moon, stars and other parts or elements of the universe. Though some of the topics discussed were already familiar to me (I think we all had this subject when we were in grade-school and high-school), I was able to learn good astronomical facts. In fact, I quite find it funny that I never have truly understood what light-year means until I read this book or maybe I just forgot, either way, I'm still thankful this book refreshed my knowledge on that; and the diamond planet? I think it is really amazing. This book made me feel like a kid again, a kid filled with wonder, fascination and awe. I enjoyed reading it and I would recommend it to anyone, young or old, who likes reading about science, astronomy and space.
I really enjoyed reading these types of books; brings me old memories at my old school. This is truly an educational book, just found out that there is a thing called the diamond planet? You could just imagine if NASA has developed a robot that could harvest that stuff and who knew that black holes emit lightning with epic voltage! The book will really give you surprising facts. I strongly suggest this to all parents who wants their child to practice their reading skills while using a tab or phone.
Getting this book I really wanted to get hold of some basics regarding astronomy. This book does exactly that. If you don't feel like surfing the Internet, but you want to learn about astronomy, then you should get this book. It is like a mini encyclopedia with pictures, which is great!
This book is an excellent guide for all beginners who want to learn more about the stars. It helps you explore the universe and it provides information about one of the largest blocks: galaxies. This overview will give you the incentive to dig deeper and learn more about constellations and stars.
This is the most expensive 50 page book I have ever purchased. Fifty pages for $17.99, this book is just a review of the subject hardly worth the money. My suggestion to those interest in astronomy is to find a book with greater depth and less price.
This book is extremely small. It's so small, I thought it was for an infant. Disappointed. The print is really small. The corner of the book was ripped. Too disgusted to waste my time with this. It's a rip off and appears to be designed for a small child to hold. I would not recommend it. Don't buy this book.
This book gives you a good basic understanding of the solar system and information on black holes and other interesting facts around the earth.
I enjoyed this short read. It was simp!e and easy to understand. It is a great introduction to astronomy and universe. I wish to continue learning more. This book would be great for both kids and adults.
