This devotional is just what I needed. It has practical application that as an outdoorsman, father, husband, and Christian I could apply on a daily basis. I have started my day with this devotional for the past 70 or so days. There are so many things in this devotional that I have been able to relate to. I am just finishing it and have told countless other men in my life about "A Look at Life from a Deer Stand."
GREAT BOOK! Got it for husband's birthday. Before giving it to him, used a couple devotionals from it during a 5 sister trip. Husband read it non-stop (almost) from cover to cover. We've shared it with my son. We've both purchased more copies to share with other friends and relatives.Steve Chapman is a very good author from my perspective - it's written through personal experiences and extremely easy for the reader to project himself into the situation. Very humorous and very Christian. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys light reading, likes to laugh out loud, and loves the Lord!
If you have a hunter in your family, they will really be able to relate to this devotional.....even if they aren't believers! My husband has so enjoyed having a devotional that speaks to him on his level and through something he loves so much......hunting!
Used this as a graduation gift for a young guy who loves to fish and hunt. Really appreciated that there are so many chapters, and that each chapter has a story, as well as devotional content. Also purchased A Look at Life from the Riverbank, to go with this book.
This is an outstanding book to read. I bought this one as a gift for my brother. I own my own copy that I bought a year ago. It is several short stories that ate Hunter can read while sitting in a deer stand or a duck blind or out fishing. It has a lot of Christian contact. You won't be disappointed by this book.
If the guy in your life is a hunter, he will really appreciate this devotional!
The cover of the book was put on backwards. And the pages of the entire book is upside down. I contacted amazon and they had great customer service and delivered me another book, which came in perfect condition. The previous book must have just been a fluke thing. My boyfriend loves this book and finds the short stories a good read.
Gave my husband one and after reading a few pages he asked me to order some as gifts for some of his friends.
