Beginnings is a beautiful book by Anne Geddes. All the babies in there are so cute! I just received the book and the pictures are absolutely beautiful and precious. I LOVE Anne Geddes work. It already has a place on my coffee table and I can't wait to show it to my friends. I think I am going to have to buy more to give as baby shower gifts.
I could not believe in such a unique deals!I love all pictures by Anne Geddes! I was very happy when I bought this beautiful book in Jewel for $6. My friends asked: "there was only one?" Then.... I checked on amazon (my favorite "store") and you can imagine how I was surprised when I saw a price- $2.74. Yes! I couldn't belive. I started count who can be happy receiving such a wonderful gift. I decided I take 4, but on stock was 3. Anyway for 3, huge, beautiful, unique, published only 1 year ago book I paid less then $9. Shortly - amazing Amazon!!!
I purchased this as a baby shower gift for my friend. I know she will love it. It comes wrapped in plastic so perfect for gift giving. The pictures are beautiful. What a great little accent for a nursery. The book is large and great quality. Definitely recommended.
I was looking forward to seeing more photos by anne geddes as she can take beautiful photos. However, this book is composed of photos that are more a "art" taste than beautiful or cute. With the exception of the baby on the egg for the cover and a shot of a baby in hands, the photos were just too weird for my taste.I would only recommend this book for someone that has a more off the beaten path taste as it is just too different from the images I associate with the photographer. It is one of those books I think a person should flip through in a store to be sure it is something they want. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd done that and won't be keeping it.
The book is beautiful. I bought it as a gift for my daughter. She is studying to be an animator. It has all the Anne Gedes babies...but many other age people and objects as well. A very good blend of all types of photography.
Once again, Anne Geddes takes my breath away with her amazing art with newborn babes. She tugs at my heart with each image and tells the story of each individual precious tiny life that she photographs. Thank goodness she has put so much of her work into print for people like me to enjoy - over and over again.
Packaged well and arrived quickly. Beautiful book. Gave to a first time Mom for a shower gift. She loved it!!!
